OUR MISSION
Using the inspiration and enthusiasm provided by our former teammate and friend, Kathy Waddilove, the KW Foundation looks to provide opportunities to inspire and empower female softball players by promoting opportunities for growth.
OUR WHY
Kathy Waddilove was one of the most determined, hardworking, selfless, coachable softball players out there. Kathy was our college teammate, roommate, and friend. Kathy attended LIU in Brooklyn on a full scholarship from Las Vegas NV. She came in as a catcher but through the years played almost every position on the field for LIU. Kathy was tough as nails but was also known for her heart of gold. Kathy was first to lend a hand, she always placed her teammates' needs above her own, and her love for life was heard through her infectious laugh. Our dear friend Kathy passed away on 1/17/2020 after fighting a long battle against breast cancer. Kathy’s mom and many of her teammates have come together to start the KW foundation in her honor. Our goal is to raise money and support the dreams of youth female athletes in their pursuit of a softball career.
